I have found that being consistent with my daily meals has made such a big difference for my Crohn's! These meals work for me because they do not make me feel sluggish or upset my stomach. Obviously, there are exceptions that occur, like goodies from a birthday celebration or a pizza craving. Monday-Friday I try to stick to this and allow myself to be more lenient on the weekends.
This is my normal workout schedule! I usually wake up at 6:50 a.m. and go to sleep before 10:30 p.m.! Also, since I am a teacher I do not have time to have elaborate meals or snacks during the day!
7:00 a.m. Right after I wake up I usually drink a glass of water to help me swallow my pills. This is such a bonus because it immediately hydrates me.
8:00 a.m. Protein smoothie bowl with berries, rice puff cereal and sometimes chocolate chips! Recipe located in the Recipe Section!
9:00 a.m. Sip on turmeric and ginger tea
10:00 a.m. Banana (my student's always made fun of me because they knew their snack time meant banana time for me!)
11:30 a.m. Big salad with lots of veggies and protein
3:00 p.m. Some kind of sandwich with protein and sweet potato chips. Then some type of chocolate for dessert.
(P.S. This is usually my biggest meal of the day!)
6:00 p.m. This depends how full I am from the previous meal. I usually like to have a little something before I work out like fruit trail-mix. I also have Kombucha.
9:00 p.m. Protein bar (Fropro) I like to have protein after I workout, and this is my favorite bar!
I usually drink 80 ounces of water everyday!
